Singapore – Why Is It A Popular Holiday Destination? »

Singapore is regarded as both a city and a country and is an island situated just south of Malaysia. It is a former British colony and is regarded as being one of the most modern countries in the world. Indeed the skyline is filled with large tower blocks, with new ones being built all the time. So why is Singapore such a popular holiday destination?

Well for a start the climate is very favourable all year round with temperatures ranging from 23 to 31 degrees celsius on average. The hottest months of the year are May and June, although every month is fairly similar because of it’s proximity to the equator. Sadly it is not wall-to-wall sunshine, however, as the country receives a lot of rain all year round, particularly in November, December and January.
