There are as many ways to decorate a china cabinet as there are china patterns. So how to decorate a china cabinet can be a tricky question to ask. It all depends on what the cabinet is used for. China cabinets aren’t just used for dinnerware anymore. You can also use a china cabinet to store curios and just general knickknacks. Let’s look at the traditional china cabinet first.
If you’re displaying china then you need a background to show off the design. This means you’ll want to use some shelf paper on the back of the china cabinet.
China
All you need to do is grab a utility knife and a roll of decorative shelf paper.
Unroll the shelf paper and stick it to the back of the cabinet. Use a plastic squeegee to remove any bubbles from the shelf paper. You can also use the tip of the utility knife to pop any stubborn bubbles that won’t press out.

Thailand has always been a preferred destination for transnational migration in Asia. Its geographic central position in South-East Asia and its open economy have paved the way for Thailand to be considered a safe haven for immigrants, including individuals seeking political asylum. The social and economic development has been considerably rapid and Thailand has grown in popularity as a destination country many people looking for a new home.
The study of Thailand’s immigration history reveals that the 1800′s saw a large number of Chinese enter Thailand for the purpose of survival. The conditions in China were so bad that if a person were able to acquire a single olive, it was not eaten but passed from father to mother to child to suck on before eating a rice soup meal. There is an expression “to travel with a mat and pot”, this bad was the condition of the Chinese in the 1800′s. Other nationals like Indians, Japanese, Westerners, citizens of neighboring countries like Burma, Vietnam, Korea, also started migrating into Thailand. Some came as traders, some as labors, some came to spread religion and some came in search of the natural resources in Thailand.

Singapore is regarded as both a city and a country and is an island situated just south of Malaysia. It is a former British colony and is regarded as being one of the most modern countries in the world. Indeed the skyline is filled with large tower blocks, with new ones being built all the time. So why is Singapore such a popular holiday destination?
Well for a start the climate is very favourable all year round with temperatures ranging from 23 to 31 degrees celsius on average. The hottest months of the year are May and June, although every month is fairly similar because of it’s proximity to the equator. Sadly it is not wall-to-wall sunshine, however, as the country receives a lot of rain all year round, particularly in November, December and January.

I watched the Japan Hour show on ChannelNewsAsia yesterday. Japan Hour is a show that I will not want to miss ever since my wife and I returned from our Hokkaido tour last year. Japan is really an amazing country, full of natural charms, onsens and very fresh and healthy farm produce as my wife and I had experienced first-handed. Yesterday’s show on Japan Hour featured a hike to Mount Fuji. It was really exciting and refreshing to witness how people from diverse provinces, countries, backgrounds and languages converged together as one to embark on an uplifting, though strenuous hike to Mount Fuji, to trek to the summit and witness sunrise from the top.
This group of hikers rest in two accommodations along the way to the top. Finally they set off from the last accommodation at around 9.25pm to commence on their trek towards the summit of Mount Fuji. The weather condition was real hostile, with chilling winds and heavy precipitation. The trek lasted all about 7 to 8 hours before the sun rose and the trekkers were heavily rewarded!

Burma has a long and dark history of oppression, which started on August 8, 1988. The “8888 Uprising” as it is called was a national peaceful revolution demanding democracy that University students launched to let their voices be heard against the corrupt government in the capital of Rangoon.
The protests ended on September 18, 1988, after a bloody military coup by the State Law and Order Restoration Council (SLORC). Thousands of monks and students were killed by soldiers who used bayonets in an effort to keep the matter quiet and out of the media.
Myanmar
Thousands were killed on the infamous named “Red Bridge” when the military fired upon a student protest while it was crossing until the bridge itself was red with the students’ blood. During the crisis, activist Aung San Suu Kyi emerged as a national hero and has since been recognized as a the leader of the democratic movement in Burma (now known as Myanmar).
