Well, there is a lot to write but I will try my best to keep it reasonably short;), yeah right Cory says;). We are now in Durban after 2 weeks in South Africa, and we have seen a lot! We arrived in Cape Town on the 25th, and stayed 2 nights before flying north to Johannesburg to begin our southbound journey along the coast back to Cape Town within 30 days-yes, I know…a lot of land to cover, right? Yes-definitely a “crash course” of South Africa, but we both love it and want to come back-so we are not worried:). Cape Town is the second most populous city in South Africa, and is absolutely beautiful. It is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, reflecting its role as a major destination for immigrants and ex patriots to South Africa. As of 2007 the city had an estimated population of 3.5 million. We only spent a couple days there, but look forward to spending a few more at the end of our trip before flying back to Buenos Aires on the 24th. We were able to visit Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela spent 19 years as a political prisoner under Apartheid), explore the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and finally eat food with some HEAT!
