“A native of Sweden, Ake’s passion for sake began in the 70′s when he started to visit Japanese restaurants in Stokholm leading to a love affair with the country, which has visited an astounding 52 times already. In 1995 he founded Akebono Unlimited AB with the aim to be the leading Sake importer and distibutor in Scandinavia. Ake gives lectures and seminars of sake to professionals and amateurs at university level and trade shows. He also does annually guide gourmet trips to Japans Sake breweries as well as performing 20 cookery programs from Japan for Swedish TV. Ake will travel to Japan for a tour of the country and its sake brewers as a guest of the Sake Samurai Association.”
