What goes through your mind when you think of South Florida? For many people the first thing that they think of is the sweltering heat and humidity, but that is only part of the story. I live in South Florida and I can say for a certainty that it does indeed get hot in the summertime but there are a few months out of the year that are so beautiful that it makes you forget that there is ever any hot months at all. That brings out some great opportunities to enjoy this tropical area of the United States that aren’t as pleasant in the summer months.
Starting in mid to late October the temperatures start to really cool in the southern part of the sunshine state and you end up with daytime temperatures in the 70s with a fantastic breeze that keeps you comfortable all the time. The skies are a brilliant color of blue and there rarely is any rain to keep you indoors. It is at this time that many people start to head out to some of the great restaurants and beaches that are available on the treasure coast. I know that there are some great little seafood restaurants on the intercostal waterway and at the beach in my area where I love to go when the temperatures get cooler, and although the Atlantic is a little colder in these months the beaches are beautiful and the surf is typically larger for those of you who enjoy surfing.
So when the temperatures start to get cold in the North it’s time for you to head to the sunny south to enjoy all that the sunshine state has to offer. It’s surely fun in the sun and a welcome break from the snow packed states that hold you hostage for the cold months of the year.
