Going Thru the Mail Takes Hours for Traveling Tourists

For those of us that travel a lot we know that when we come home there will be tons of mail to go through and sort out. We will often see bills that did not get paid or things that we just forgot. We will seek times of junk mail, magazines and catalogs.
It’s amazing the amount of mail that someone can get in three months of traveling. During my last trip I came back to literally a box full of mail. So, I took a trash bag and some giant rubber bands and a shoebox with me to Starbucks. I ordered the largest possible Frappachino and began to sort through all my mail.
I filled up my trash bag and my shoebox and had a stack of magazines to still go through even after donating some of them to the local Starbucks used newspaper rack. Going through the mail is something that takes hours and anyone who is a traveling tourists knows that this is a ritual they must endure upon their return.
Because you end up with so much trash it almost pays to do it somewhere else when sorting. I picked Starbucks because I can sit down in the air conditioning and enjoy myself and then take my glad trash bag full of trash when I am done and costs it in the dumpster out back.
The way I see it used if I’m going to pay four dollars for a coffee then I might as well get some free use of their trash and air-conditioning while I go through my mail. Likewise it was nice to donate some of the magazines, which I know I will not have time to read to the used newspaper rack full of reading material. Next time that you come back from vacation perhaps you will do the same thing. Please consider this in 2006.
